Lovin' Miami
Jesse took me to Miami for my birthday. We took our time strolling along Collins Avenue, peaking in the hotel lobbies and making note of our favorite pools. My favorite lobby was the Sagamore for their contemporary art collection. The Delano was fun too with an elegant spin on a topsy-turvy Alice in Wonderland type theme. My favorite pool was The Standard, mostly for the sign that read: adult playground. But my fondest memory is of lounging on the outdoor patio furniture at The Shore Club, watching everyone get crazy at the pool party while I sip my frozen mojito and smoke a forbidden cigarette. Yeah baby!

From William Wordsworth
Love this poem by William Wordsworth, discovered it watching the wonderful film named after its title, written by William Inge, directed by Elia Kazan, and starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty.
Splendor in the Grass
What though the radiance
which was once so bright
Be now forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing now can take back the hour
Of splendor in the grass,
Of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind.

cool criminal cat
I planted a nanny cam in the living room the other day, and sure enough I caught Stussy ringing up my daytime minutes while I was out. Notice how cool and collected she is. When I told her she would have to stay inside for the next week, I only got a a soft purr of indifference for a reply. No sign of guilt. Not even an offer to reimburse me. She's been hiding out in the bathroom since the day of the bust. Probably up to no good in there, using up all my product. I've got some very fancy spa treatments she'd love to get her paws on.
